PHOTO ALBUM - PAGE 2
Some details from our church building. Thanks to the Graham family.

The door is a symbol for Christ taken from John’s gospel. (John 10:7) It may also be used to symbolise the invitation to prayer and the personal relationship that Christ extends to all people.

The crown is a symbol of royal authority and is also used to represent Christ, the king of Kings.

The agnus dei can be pictured in different ways. This one, carrying a banner stands for the risen Christ who triumphs over death.
The dove, if it has a 3 rayed halo round its head, is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. It is taken from the story of Jesus' baptism where the spirit descended on him in the form of a dove. However, our dove does not have a halo so it is a symbol of peace.

A winged lion is a symbol of St Mark the Evangelist because of his clear proclamation of Jesus’ Resurrection.
