St George Edgbaston

Photo_5.JPGWorship in praise and thanksgiving for God’s goodness in creation and human life lies at the heart of all Christian living.  At St George’s we seek to maintain a balance between services of the Eucharist (Holy Communion), where the consecration and receiving of the bread and wine at the Lord’s Table is central to the worship, and ‘Services of the Word’, meaning worship services of hymns and prayers with bible readings and exposition or reflection without Holy Communion. These include Mattins, Morning Prayer, Evensong, Compline, Night Prayer.
