Is St George's an accessible church?

It is possible to access St George's without using any steps. There is a step-free entrance from the south side of the car park, into the south door of church.

We now have automated doors so that anyone can access & exit the building independently.

There is a fully accessible toilet in the church building.

There is ample space for wheelchairs in the nave, including at the front with clear sight of the altar.

During the 10.30am service, Holy Communion is distributed from the chancel step so that no-one need climb steps to receive.

St George's PCC is committed to making church inclusive and accessible to all. We are looking at ways to further adapt our building.
