From Fr Sam:

Dear friends,

Please find this week's notices attached.

I have some good news to share with you. The Revd Dr Michael Volland has been appointed Bishop of Birmingham. We await his consecration in November and installation in Birmingham in early 2024. Thanks be to God!

And finally, please find below happy news from our friends in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church who shared our building for many years.

They are now in their new building, a former Methodist chapel. Steven Fox and Carol Couse represented St George's at the opening service, and in the photograph you may also recognise Ven. Julian Francis, Archdeacon of Walsall and former Vicar of St George's.

Prayers and best wishes,

Fr Sam

INVITATION FROM THE VICAR

On Sunday 30th April we welcome Bishop Anne as she admits four of our younger members (ages 7-11) to Holy Communion. You are warmly invited to this service. We will have a relaxed Bring & Share lunch afterwards, please do bring a sweet and/or savoury dish along if you can. A sign-up sheet will appear at the back of church. It would be great to show our Bishop the best of St George's friendship and hospitality!
